Frequently Asked Questions
General
- 01Enrollment for classes requires a non-refundable membership fee. Some of our auxiliary programs offer a “without membership fee” price.
- 02Our Recreational class times vary depending on the class type (see our Program Schedule for details). Our TumbleKids classes are 45 minutes long. All classes meet once a week.
- 03During the school year our terms are either 8 or 7 weeks long. Summer Sessions are 5 weeks each.
- 04Each student is allowed one make-up per Summer term and two make-ups during our school year terms . Make-ups will only be given if we are notified of the absence at least 1 hr prior to the start of the class.
- 05Our TumbleKids classes are age-based. Recreational classes depend on their skill level. If you are not sure what class is best for your child, you can request an evaluation by calling our office.
- 06Gymnasts should wear clothing that allows freedom of movement. Shorts, T-shirts, leggings and/or leotards are good choices (no tights that cover feet, skirts, or tutus, please). Long hair must be tied back and jewelry removed prior to entering the gym.
- 07It is skill-based. Once a child has mastered the skills at their level you will be notified and our office staff will instruct you on what to do next.
- 08Our TumbleKids Program starts at age 1 (they do not need to be walking) with a parent. Our Recreational Program is for ages 5.5-14 yr.
- 09Our recreational staff will recommend students to the Team Directors. They look for coachability, enthusiasm, strong skills, and work ethic. Recommended students will be invited to our team prospect clinics and potentially Team tryouts (May-June).
- 10You are only required to stay for class if your child is enrolled in a with-parent class or if your child is younger and needs assistance going to the restroom.
